We've used Colson wheels on several FIRST Robotics Competition robots now. Lightweight and durable. Very little wear after a full year on competitions and demos. Easy to adapt for live or dead axle applications. Our favorite is live axle. Turn aluminum plugs a few thousandths over hub ID. Knurl outside of plug, bore for axle, broach keyway, then just press plug into wheel with an arbor press.
Colson is already known for their great wheels but since there were NO reviews yet, I felt compelled to write something...These are nice, sold, lightweight wheels that are well suited to robot construction. The bore size is standard and easy to get a hub for, or simply cut in your own keyway. These also have a terrific weight capacity and, since they are solid, they can take a great deal of abuse and still continue to roll.
